Dahl Chapel and Auditorium

Offices/Resources:

Built in 1896 and renovated in 2002-03, the Dahl Chapel and Auditorium is the college's oldest academic building. It contains the Louise DuBois Kasch Performance Hall, rehearsal rooms and dressing rooms.  Most musical events at Monmouth College are held in the Auditorium, a 600-seat facility. Its warm acoustic environment has been praised by visiting artists.

Designed by renowned architect Dan Everett Waid in 1896, the Auditorium was totally renovated internally. In addition to extensive modernization of the lower level, the main level was restored to its original look. Work was also done to the balcony, the organ and the building is now air-conditioned. Work was completed during the spring of 2003.
