Stockdale Center

Day and night, the Stockdale Center pulses with energy from people of various ages and backgrounds. Contains the college's renovated main dining hall, Scotland Yard snack shop, Scots Market grocery store, student mail boxes, a TV lounge, a commuter student lounge, the Office of Student Activities, Office of Student Publications (The Courier), and several rooms for banquets, meetings and conferences.  Stockdale is also the home to WMCR, the campus radio station.  Here students can take a radio production class and be a DJ on the air for course credit.

Renovated in 1998, the crowning touch was a refurbished Highlander Room, a meeting banquet facility on the top floor, the gift of the Whiteman and McMillan families.  Day and night, the Stockdale Center is a gathering place for the exchange of new ideas - in casual conversation, through an art exhibit, in a live music or theater performance, over a meal, or in a lecture.  As the center of the College community, the Center provides services and programs, out-of-classroom multicultural, educational, intellectual, recreational and social activities to its diverse building user groups.

When the building was built in 1963 it originally contained the college’s main dining hall, and a basement snack bar.
