College for Kids - Our 40th year!

CFK students and Parents:

College for Kids at Monmouth College is committed to maintaining the safety and well-being of students, families and the communities that our students come from. As such I have been in consultation with Monmouth College administration, Warren County Health Department, Illinois Department of Public Health and Center for Disease Control & Prevention. This continues to be an extraordinary time for all of us. As responses to the spread of COVID-19 accelerate, Monmouth College has been meeting around the clock to continue to discuss what is best for campus and community.

As such, the difficult decision has been made to cancel College for Kids at Monmouth College for summer 2020. Students who have already registered will have their tuition refunded in full.

Hopefully, in summer 2021 we will be back with a great program of offerings to celebrate our 41st year!

Be safe and stay healthy,

Kathy Mainz
Director, College for Kids

Welcome to College for Kids at Monmouth College, a program for talented and gifted children who have finished grade 3 through finishing grade 8.

This program will challenge students with collegiate experiences that are different from a regular classroom. Instructors use teaching methods appropriate to a college classroom, including: discussion, inquiry, laboratory and hands-on activities. College for Kids provides students with the opportunity to use their outstanding abilities and to recognize and accept their own giftedness as well as to meet other talented/gifted children.

The 2020 program dates are June 15-26 and classes will run 9:00 am to 12 noon, Monday through Friday.

Classes are held in our Center for Science and Business, McMichael Academic Hall and the Wells Theatre.

College for Kids catalogs and registration forms will be in area schools the second week in March. Catalogs will also be available online at this website.
