Each entering student is assigned a faculty adviser. For freshmen, this person will be the instructor in his or her Introduction to Liberal Arts course.

The adviser helps the student select courses and serves as a person to talk to about all aspects of life at the College.

A student may change advisers, if desired, any time after the Introduction to Liberal Arts course is completed.

The process of making a change in advisers begins by obtaining the necessary form in the Registrar's Office and then filling out that form with the help of the new adviser.

While a student usually chooses an adviser in a major area of interest, students are free to select any member of the faculty who agrees to serve as an adviser.
