  2. Students will be able to give a personal and critical analysis of expressions of meaning and value encountered in the course.
  3. Students will be able to articulate an understanding of the historical-cultural-social contexts of ideas explored in the course.
  4. Students will be able to articulate their own views (however nascent) concerning questions of the meaning and purpose of their own lives.
