The former president and co-founder of UMOJA, an emerging organization on campus that promotes unity and African-American culture, was just one of Raven's major activities. Raven has also been a resident assistant, now the head resident of Liedman Hall, an All-American member of the Fighting Scots track and field team, a member of the President’s Student Advisory Council, and a member of honor societies of Greek Life.

How does one person accomplish so much in so little time? Raven credits Monmouth’s small size and community atmosphere. “The community of Monmouth is just something you could not find at a bigger university or community college. That happy medium is what you get here.”

Raven also notes that many of the opportunities she has had would not have been possible if not for the supportive faculty and staff of Monmouth College. “Kathy Wagoner is a perfect example of that support.” For instance, Raven had not even considered being an RA until Kathy encouraged her to apply. The combination of supportive faculty and Raven’s drive to succeed has made her an unstoppable Scot!
