International Student Services

Planning on coming to study at Monmouth from outside of the United States?

Intercultural Life provides services to international students through International and Overseas American Orientation, International Student Services on maintaining their student status and other SEVIS related services.

Intercultural Life also provides support and guidance to Orientation Leaders and Mentors as they help guide their freshmen mentees through their first year at Monmouth College.

International and overseas American students have many opportunities for both academic and personal growth at Monmouth College as the college offers a wide range of resources and opportunities, and an ideal environment to help international and overseas American students succeed and achieve their academic goals.

International and overseas American students may also become involved in campus life through a variety of student organizations and college programs such as cultural activities, sports, and social events. Our office staff and international and overseas American orientation leaders are qualified and trained to meet the varied needs of all international and overseas American students.

Because starting school without adequate preparation may be confusing, orientation is a very important element in the transition that students will soon be making. The international and overseas American orientation and the all new student orientation are both devoted to students’ concerns as new students.

Orientation provides ample opportunity to meet informally with "veteran" international and U.S. students, to learn from their experiences and make new friends. Even if you have attended another U.S. university and participated in an orientation program before you would agree that no two schools are alike, so you will find this extremely useful, and a lot of fun. It is much easier to meet people, through the orientation period, and get things done before everyone gets busy when classes begin.
