Membership in a men's fraternity has many benefits from scholastic support, to social activities, to career networking. The process of learning about fraternities and their members is called “recruitment,” although it is a very informal process.
Generally, each organization hosts several activities on or near campus. The members will also introduce themselves to students after class, in the cafeteria, and at other campus events. The purpose is to allow interested men get to know the various organizations, their principles, and their members, so that everyone can make an informed decision.
As with any other student organization, it is the responsibility of potential members to learn about the organization before joining and make the best choice for their success at Monmouth College. These resources will help students get the most out of this process.
